FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers for B2B partners, memorial brands, and industry professionals about our manufacturing process, technology, and partnership models.

Manufacturing Process

01 How are memorial diamonds manufactured?

Memorial diamonds are created through High-Pressure High-Temperature (HPHT) synthesis. The process involves: (1) Carbon extraction from biological materials, (2) Purification to 99.95%+ purity, (3) Conversion to graphite, (4) HPHT crystal growth at 5.5 GPa and 1,450°C, (5) Cutting and polishing, (6) Grading and certification. The entire cycle takes approximately 60 days.

02 What is HPHT diamond synthesis?

HPHT (High-Pressure High-Temperature) synthesis replicates the natural conditions deep within the Earth's mantle where diamonds form. A carbon source is placed in a growth chamber and subjected to extreme pressure (5.5 GPa, equivalent to 150km underground) and temperature (1,450°C), causing carbon atoms to crystallize into diamond lattice structures over 40-80 days depending on desired carat weight.

03 What biological materials contain usable carbon?

We can extract usable carbon from: human hair, pet fur, cremated ashes, flowers, plants, feathers, wool, and other organic carbon-bearing materials. All mammalian keratin-based materials (hair, fur, wool) are highly compatible. Minimum sample requirements vary by material type — hair requires approximately 0.3g minimum.

04 What purity level is required for diamond synthesis?

Our carbon purification process achieves 99.95%+ purity before graphitization. This exceeds the threshold required for gem-quality diamond synthesis. Lower purity carbon can result in structural defects, reduced clarity, and color inconsistencies in the final diamond. Our proprietary purification protocol is protected under our 2012 national invention patent.

Partnership & Business

05 Can BioGem Lab support OEM partnerships?

Yes. We offer full white-label manufacturing where your brand appears on all packaging, certificates, and documentation. We ship directly to your end customer under your brand name. You maintain the customer relationship; we handle production, quality control, and logistics. No inventory investment required — manufacture-on-demand model.

06 What industries does BioGem Lab serve?

We serve: memorial diamond brands, pet cremation companies, veterinary clinics, jewelry manufacturers, funeral service groups, luxury memorial companies, and global distributors. We do not sell directly to consumers — all partnerships are strictly B2B.

07 What is the production timeline?

Standard production cycle is approximately 60 days from carbon sample receipt to finished diamond delivery. This includes: sample processing (3-5 days), purification (7-10 days), graphitization (5-7 days), HPHT growth (35-50 days depending on carat), cutting/polishing (5-7 days), and grading/certification (3-5 days). Express service available for qualified partners with volume commitments.

08 How does quality control work?

Our quality control system includes: in-process carbon purity spectroscopic analysis, growth chamber parameter monitoring, post-growth visual inspection, gemological grading (color, clarity, carat, cut), and final certification. Every diamond carries a unique CCIC traceability QR code for full chain-of-custody documentation. Partners receive complete production records including video documentation of key stages.

09 What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

MOQ depends on partnership type and diamond specifications. For wholesale supply, we accommodate single-unit orders for testing and evaluation. For OEM white-label partnerships, we typically discuss volume commitments during partnership onboarding. Contact us with your projected volume for a tailored partnership proposal.

10 Do you provide international shipping?

Yes. We ship to partners in 14 markets globally. All shipments include proper documentation for customs clearance. For white-label partners, we ship directly to your end customer with your branded packaging and documentation. We work with trusted international logistics partners to ensure secure, insured delivery of finished diamonds.
